Senior Advisor - Research

Barbara founded QMark, Anthology’s research group, in 1995. With more than 35 years of experience, she is recognized as Hawaii’s preeminent authority on the gathering of market research for use by private businesses, politicians, and organizations involved in high-profile public issues.

By establishing the state’s first telephone-survey calling center and focus group facilities,  Barbara has elevated the market research profession in Hawaii. She has conducted polling programs for numerous Federal, State and House political races and sought public opinion on some of the most important issues facing Hawaii, including same-gender marriage, medicinal marijuana, death with dignity, women’s choice, land use, and ballot measures.

In recognition of her achievements, the Hawaii Chapter of the American Advertising Federation honored Barbara as the Advertising Woman of the Year in 2014. She has served as President of ACLU of Hawaii for the past seven years, and was President of Planned Parenthood Hawaii for five years before that. Originally from Chicago, Barbara attended Pepperdine University (CA), where she earned a B.A. in Sociology.

Director of Post Production – Advertising

Mark has worn several career hats in his more than three decades of experience in television and video production in Hawaii. Though much of his work has been as an editor, his career has included stints as a broadcast graphic designer, writer and commercial producer. Mark was a familiar face in Anthology’s offices prior to joining its Advertising Group as broadcast production manager, a newly created position at the time of his hiring. He had previously worked on freelance projects for several Anthology clients, as well as multiple political campaigns. A graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in Illinois, Mark’s expertise includes strong video and storytelling skills ranging from graphic animation to long-form documentary-style editing.

Vice President – Strategy

Naomi is a humancentric strategist adept in engaging and galvanizing audiences with passion, truth and purpose. Her work with clients is highly collaborative, partnering with brands and team members to reframe business objectives and develop communications and campaigns inspired by real human insight. For Naomi, strategy is equal parts art and science, and an ever-changing amalgam of observation, creativity and gut instinct, all informed by primary research, consumer trends, psychology, social listening and behavioral economics. 
 
A resident of New York City for 15 years, Naomi worked with multiple brands, including adidas, Converse, Google Maps, Google Play, Nestlé Purina and Michael Kors, before returning with her husband and son to Oahu and her Nu‘uanu Valley roots. She is a graduate of Punahou school, and holds a Master of Science degree in strategic communications from Columbia University in New York City and a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota.

William brings more than two decades of accounting experience to his work in Anthology’s accounting department. He is responsible for directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions, ensuring compliance and quality control over financial transactions and reporting. William’s relentless passion for seeking solutions and insatiable appetite for learning have made him an extremely well-rounded accounting professional. He is also a power user of Advantage accounting software and NetSuite business management software. William holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from St. Louis College in Tuguegarao, Cagayan, Philippines, and is fluent in Tagalog and Ilocano.

Associate Vice President – UX

Marty brings extensive experience with front-end code, user experience, design, and strategy to Anthology. He brings his leadership skills to work every day and helps clients and team members solve problems and create better solutions. 

Marty is on a return engagement with Anthology. He worked with us for 12 years and then spent four years working as Director of Ecommerce for Aqua-Aston Hospitality supervising the build of a million dollar website and learning the ways of clients. We are happy he has returned with his enthusiasm and can-do attitude. Marty is a disciple of good user experience and has shared his vision in a variety of industries. As a supervisor, Marty plays a role in every client that needs a website, mobile application, or display and social ads. 

He received his undergraduate degree from Hawai‘i Pacific University.

One of the key architects of Anthology Marketing Group, Dennis leads the integrated company and oversees the synergistic operation of its advertising, digital, public relations and research practices.

He began his career as a filmmaker, working on projects ranging from feature films and documentaries to television series and community outreach campaigns. His work in television, social marketing and politics led him to his career work in advertising, where he still delights in applying the art of storytelling to the science of persuasion.

Dennis joined Anthology’s founding advertising practice Laird Christianson Advertising in 1993 as its executive creative director, helping grow it into one of Hawaii’s most respected agencies. His client experience spans a diversity of industries, including hospitality, travel, real estate, retail, finance, destinations, education and health care. He continues to lead the branding and creative processes for many Anthology clients.

Dennis was honored with the American Advertising Federation’s (AAF) Silver Medal for Lifetime Achievement in 2010 and designated the AAF Hawaii Chapter’s Advertising Man of the Year in 2004.

She brings to the agency more than three decades of determination and dedication to her craft, and a passion for staying ahead of the industry curve in design trends and changes that ultimately benefit Anthology clients.

Brian brings more than two decades of marketing, communications and client relations experience to Anthology’s Research Group. An innovative and effective leader who understands the challenges and opportunities local businesses face today, he has worked in a variety of industries, including health care, publishing and online learning.

Brian is responsible for managing all phases of quantitative and qualitative research and serves as a primary contact for clients. He is a graduate of Stonehill College in North Easton, Massachusetts, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications, and an alumnus of Boston College High School in Boston, Massachusetts.

Patrick has a wide range of experience handling public affairs issues and tourism marketing drawn from more than a quarter century of client work in Anthology’s Public Relations Group. He possesses a strong background in strategic planning and corporate communications, has led numerous public information programs, is an exceptional writer, and has cultivated solid, invaluable working relationships with members of Hawaii’s news media.

Patrick is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he earned Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in communication. He has contributed pro bono public relations support throughout his career to worthy causes, including his current service as a volunteer board member of Duke’s OceanFest.

Mary brings her passion for customer service, marketing and technology to her roles as supervisor for the account service team and the digital team. She also serves as Anthology’s vice- chairman and secretary of the board.

After getting her career start as a journalist at newspapers in Indiana and California, Mary relocated to Hawai‘i to join full-service agency Starr Seigle Communications, co- founding its digital division StarrTech Interactive in 1995. She was a founding partner of Anthology Marketing Group when it formed in 2007.

A pioneer in digital marketing practices in Hawai‘i, Mary continues to bring her vast experience in marketing, advertising and communications to help lead the teams in finding integrated solutions.

Mary received her undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and her Executive MBA at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa’s Shidler College of Business. In 2018, she was inducted into the Shidler College of Business Hall of Honor.

Mary has been recognized by the Hawai‘i Chapter of the American Advertising Federation as its Advertising Woman of the Year in 2000 and a Silver Medal for lifetime achievement. She has significant volunteer experience and current board memberships for YWCA Patsy C. Mink Center for Development & Leadership, American Lung Association Women’s Cabinet, University of Hawaii Na Koa Football Booster Club and Hawaii Public Radio. She is a 30-year volunteer for the American Heart Association where she has served on local, regional and national boards.

Wenona leads Anthology Digital Group’s project management team, ensuring every project it undertakes is realistically and properly scoped, budgeted and staffed prior to development to effectively meet client needs. Her extensive and diverse career experience, as well as deep understanding of the web development process – she has served as a programmer, quality assurance specialist and client contact person – has made Wenona an excellent team coach and discerning judge of everything required to successfully bring a project to completion.

Wenona is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her community volunteer work includes board memberships in Read to Me International, Project D.A.T.E. and Living the Word Ministries, and service with RAW International.

Along with an innovative mentality, Trevor brings a decade of experience in software development to Anthology’s Digital Group. When he's not squashing bugs or plotting the digital team’s next big integration, he can be found researching and applying the latest trends in technology to ensure Anthology offers clients the best possible solutions.

Prior to moving to Hawaii, Trevor was a web application developer at Results Direct, a digital experience agency, where his primary focus was building and maintaining enterprise-level web applications for national associations and non-profits. He is a graduate of the University of Arizona in Tucson, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical and computer engineering, and a minor in mathematics.

Associate Director – Project Management

Jantzen brings nearly two decades of career experience in digital project work to the Anthology Digital Group team and its clients. Prior to joining Anthology, he served as project manager and product manager for the American Cancer Society’s main website, Cancer.org, and was based in the organization’s national headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. As part of his work for the national nonprofit, Jantzen also managed a series of online wellness programs implemented by the American Cancer Society in workplaces throughout the United States. His career resume also includes service as a web project manager for Atlanta-based The Home Depot where his responsibilities included special projects and section redesigns of the company’s national website, HomeDepot.com.

Jantzen is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Vice President: Field Services – Research

John brings more than three decades of experience in market research in Hawaii to his work in Anthology’s Research Group. He directs all field operations for the research team involving the collection of quantitative and qualitative data via telephone surveys based in Anthology’s call center. John also directs the group’s mail, online and intercept surveys. In addition, he ensures quality control as the lead of sampling for telephone and online surveys, and oversees research gathered from focus groups.

John is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in management.

Amy leads the development and execution of custom research programs at Anthology helping clients uncover strategic business insights. She is responsible for managing all phases of market research projects and serves as the primary research services contact for clients. Amy brings extensive experience in crafting and executing strategic marketing plans and market research to her work at Anthology. Her marketing background includes work in a variety of industries, including financial services, higher-education publishing and health care. Amy’s passion is working alongside clients to match their organization’s vision with a tailored strategy enabling them to achieve their goals. She is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa’s Shidler College of Business, earning a Master of Business Administration degree in its Global MBA program.

Nathan is immersed in all aspects of the state’s business community drawing upon his business and media insights, marketplace knowledge and industry connections to counsel clients in various sectors to help achieve their business objectives through impactful communications programs. With more than two decades of experience in tourism/hospitality, corporate and public affairs, he possesses a strong background in strategic planning, media relations, issues management, crisis communications, and community relations.

Nathan serves on the board of directors for Junior Achievement of Hawaii, Honolulu Festival Foundation, and JTB Goodwill Foundation, as well as the board of governors for The Pacific Club. He also volunteers his time as a mentor in the Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii's Young Professionals program, is the president of the Rotary Club of Downtown Honolulu, and was appointed as a commissioner to the state's Commission to Promote and Advance Civic Education (PACE Commission).

In 2018, Nathan was named the Gregg W. Perry Public Relations Professional of the Year by the Hawaii Chapter of PRSA. He was named to Pacific Business News' annual list of Forty Under 40 honorees in 2014. And in 2013, PRSA Hawaii honored Nathan with its President’s Leadership Award in recognition of his contributions to the success of the profession. He is also a past president of PRSA Hawaii and served on the PRSA Travel and Tourism Section’s executive committee from 2012-2018.

Raised on the island of Hawaii, Nathan is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism. He is also a graduate of Konawaena High School where he lettered in baseball.

Queenie brings a driven, detail-oriented, responsive and reliable approach to her work as creative production manager in Anthology’s Advertising Group. With more than three decades of career experience in print production and advertising, she excels at ensuring the smooth flow of work in the creative department and facilitating the success of projects from initiation to delivery. Having resided in the Philippines, Japan and Malaysia before attending college in Hawaii, Queenie also brings an international perspective to her work at Anthology.

Prior to joining Anthology in 1995, Queenie worked as a graphic designer in the San Francisco Bay Area. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

With more than two decades of career experience in business-to-consumer marketing, public relations, social media and advertising, Jackie brings to Anthology’s Public Relations Group exceptional knowledge in providing strategic counsel to clients in a diversity of industries, including telecommunications, health care, travel, retail, hospitality and food service. She directs marketing programs for multiple Anthology clients, utilizing a combination of print, broadcast, online, and public and community relations in their community outreach, as well as event marketing.

Prior to joining Anthology, Jackie operated her own marketing consultancy for seven years. She is a graduate of the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology.

Erin specializes primarily in travel and tourism public relations and corporate communications for Anthology’s Public Relations Group, managing client relationships and internal teams working on hospitality, retail, and lifestyle brands. Born and raised on the island of Hawaii, she is a graduate of Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, where she earned Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in mass communication and journalism with an emphasis in public relations.

Erin is a board member and serves as communications vice president for the Hawaii Society of Business Professionals. She has also served as wish granter for Make-A-Wish Hawaii.

Craig is Anthology Research Group’s expert in the study of research data, employing detailed statistical formulas and his career experience in research services to assess findings, trends and analyses. As part of his expertise, he delivers the basis for the intelligence and strategic recommendations sought by clients of Anthology Research. Craig is also responsible for report preparation and analysis, and manages the research team’s utilization of statistics, graphics and data processing functions.

Craig is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance.

Holly’s career experience in marketing, communications and advertising has included managing clients representing a wide range of specialties, including retail, health care, technology, tourism and real estate.

With an acute attention to detail and results-oriented mindset, Holly has managed projects ranging from graphic design and television commercials to web design. She has also developed rebranding strategies, created content for social media initiatives, and executed integrated marketing programs.

Before moving to Hawaiʻi in 2016, Holly handled project management at advertising agencies in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Charleston, South Carolina. She is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration, with a major in marketing.

Erica brings a technology- and people-focused work ethic to Anthology’s Digital Group where she works with some of the team’s largest clients seeking ways to manage technology and strategy. She manages the day-to-day tasks of multiple projects, including website redesigns, mobile app launches and custom interactive projects, always making sure clients are satisfied throughout the process. Prior to joining Anthology, Erica managed marketing strategies for both small and large businesses, including confectioner Hawaiian Host.

Erica is a graduate of Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon, where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in management and a Master of Business Administration degree.

She is fluent in ‘ōlelo Hawai‘i (Hawaiian language).

Lori guides Anthology’s Digital Group in crafting and evolving meaningful digital experiences into sound communication strategies through the process of matching relevant content, intuitive interfaces and brand-worthy visual designs. She combines career knowledge of marketing and the psychology of design to develop and optimize digital experiences and solutions, and has contributed to the digital success stories of multiple Anthology clients.

Senior Supervisor, Editorial Services – Public Relations

Derek conceptualizes, develops, edits and composes editorial content on various subjects over multiple media platforms and across Anthology’s disciplines. The company created the director of editorial services position to utilize his skills as an award winning Hawaii-based writer and editor.

Prior to joining Anthology, Derek served for five years as editor-in-chief of Hawaii magazine, an Oahu-based, nationally distributed bimonthly magazine aimed at frequent- and first-time travelers to the Hawaiian Islands. His career experience includes seven years as an arts and entertainment writer for The Honolulu Advertiser daily newspaper where he wrote lifestyle features on music, film, TV, nightlife, art, fashion and culture. At The Honolulu Advertiser, Derek also fulfilled a longtime dream of combining his lifelong loves of music and writing into a career interviewing dozens of musicians, including Prince, B.B. King, Eddie Vedder, Elvis Costello, Bonnie Raitt, David Byrne, Kanye West, Roger Daltrey, Rihanna and Pink.

Born and raised on the island of Hawaii, Derek is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism. His journalism awards include multiple honors from the Society of Professional Journalists Hawaii Chapter, and three first-place Pai Awards for Visitor Publication Excellence from the Hawaii Publishers Association as editor-in-chief of Hawaii magazine.

Derek volunteers time annually as a judge for The Clarence T.C. Ching Foundation’s Inspired in Hawaii essay contest for kindergarten through 12th grade students.

David brings extensive experience to Anthology’s Research Group in developing and executing insights-driven branding, marketing and strategic communications programs for clients in a variety of industries. He has a strong knowledge of marketing and communications, and is well versed in business challenges and opportunities that exist in Hawaii. A creative thinker, David effectively leverages Anthology’s extensive resources to provide successful solutions for his clients.

David holds a Professional Researcher Certification (PRC) from the Insights Association (formerly the Market Research Association) and Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) from the Universal Accreditation Board. David is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing.

Edwina is responsible for the effective management of Anthology’s human resources needs and is focused on hiring and developing the best. Prior to joining Anthology, she served as human resources manager for the Office of Hawaiian Affairs.

Edwina earned a Master of Arts degree in education from Argosy University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She also holds a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designation.

Edwina serves as a volunteer board member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) Hawaii Chapter and chairs its Compliance Committee.

Brittney brings a fearless, client-focused approach to her work in Anthology’s Integrated Marketing Group, managing the daily tasks of a variety of multidimensional projects, including full marketing campaigns involving television, radio and photo productions. Her focus assures clients are satisfied from kick off to recap.

A self-proclaimed student of pop culture, Brittney always strives to create unique ways to encourage her clients, employing career experience earned at a diversity of companies, including Apple, Savage X Fenty, and Saatchi and Saatchi.

An Afro-Latina and Los Angeles native, Brittney is a graduate of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in strategic communication. Having begun her graduate studies at Tulane University’s A.B Freeman School of Business, in New Orleans, Louisiana, she plans to complete studies for her master’s degree here in Hawai‘i.

In her spare time, Brittney enjoys volunteering for causes she connects with, including youth mentoring, art and entertainment.

Senior Account Supervisor – Public Relations

Shere’e brings agency, media, public relations and marketing experience to Anthology’s Public Relations Group. Her career experience includes managing public relations strategies for clients in the hospitality, retail, nonprofit and restaurant industries.

 Born and raised in Hawaii, Shere’e is a graduate of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism, with a minor in speech. While attending classes at UH, she also served as a DJ and promotions director for campus radio station KTUH-FM, and was a reporter for the university’s student newspaper, Ka Leo O Hawaii.

 In 2012, Shere’e received an Emmy Award for “Best Newscast in a Medium Market.”

With more than 25 years of career experience in media and communications, Noreen provides strategic counsel and account service support to public affairs clients in Anthology’s Public Relations Group and enjoys being a mentor to team members. Her background includes key communications positions in Hawai‘i’s clean energy and sustainability industries, as well as a decade of experience in local television news. She was employed at Anthology from 2007 to 2012 working on multiple tourism accounts and returned to the team in 2023.

Noreen is a graduate of the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism. She is an alumnus of President William McKinley High School.

Robert develops and executes marketing strategies, advertising campaigns and events while always going the extra mile to assure the needs of his clients in Anthology’s Advertising Group are met consistently and on time. Captivated by his first behind-the-scenes peek at a young age into the world of advertising, when a family friend cast him as an extra in a local television spot, Robert’s fascination with the industry grew as he entered college and began his agency career. His career experience includes work with a diversity of Hawaii and national brands spanning the food, beverage and insurance industries.

Robert is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications.

April excels at developing innovative and finely targeted ideas for clients of Anthology’s Advertising Group. Her passion as creative director is getting to the heart and soul of the brands she works with, which she believes leads to striking, memorable and always relevant advertising.

April has won numerous local and national awards for her work. She is a former president and board member of the American Advertising Federation’s Hawaii Chapter, which honored her as its Advertising Woman of the Year in 1998. April’s volunteer community work includes the creation of campaigns and collateral materials for the Hawaiian Humane Society, Honolulu International Film Festival and Cat Friends Hawaii.

Kris brings globally accumulated career experience to Anthology’s Advertising Group, having served as an art director at O&M in Portland, Oregon, and Cape Town, South Africa, and DDB in Seattle, Washington, and Singapore. An avid traveler, Kris has visited nearly 100 countries. He draws inspiration and energy for his life and work from his two adopted daughters.

Kris regularly volunteers his time with the American Red Cross, March of Dimes, Pacific Survivor Center and Advocates for Africa’s Children.

Peter brings nearly two decades of career experience in IT administration, networking, management and support to his work at Anthology. Prior to joining Anthology, Peter worked at Apple Inc., where he accumulated excellent insight into multiple technology industries.

Account Supervisor/ Director of Hawaiian Cultural Affairs — Public Relations

As an account supervisor, Pua supports a range of travel, tourism and public affairs clients in Anthology’s Public Relations Group, engaging in media relations, leisure programs and corporate communications. Pua’s role as in-house director of Hawaiian cultural affairs allows Anthology’s staff and leadership to engage with her for resource assistance on program initiatives related to the Hawaiian culture, and strengthen their appreciation and understanding of native Hawaiian worldview and perspectives. 

A graduated kumu hula of Hālau Mōhala ʻIlima, Pua applies her experience as a Hawaiian practitioner to ensure cultural authenticity in public relations and promotional efforts.

Prior to joining Anthology, Pua worked for the Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority (HTA) as its manager of Hawaiian cultural affairs, overseeing the organization’s Kūkulu Ola, Aloha ‘Āina and Community Enrichment programs. In her role, she also provided Hawaiian cultural resource assistance in the planning and implementation of HTA product development programs, and integrated initiatives within HTA’s Tourism Strategic Plan, including marketing, natural resources, tourism product development and workforce development.

Raised in Kailua, Oʻahu, Pua is a graduate of Kamehameha Schools and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. 

She serves as a volunteer board member on the Bishop Museum Association Council and supports multiple community-based organizations.

Kai Sounthala is an accomplished manager, team leader and software architect with a track record of delivering high-quality products on schedule in fast-paced team environments, working across departments and all levels of management. He brings over 16 years of experience in emerging technology, enterprise software and consulting, having successfully developed and launched products and services for brands such as Hawaiian Airlines, Kenworth, PACCAR, Hawaii Pacific Health, HP, Microsoft, The Boston Red Sox, Gillette, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson. Kai is a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University.

Amy brings a highly organized, detail-oriented approach to her work in Anthology’s Advertising Group. A born multitasker, she is adept at managing multiple projects while remaining on top of deadlines and budgets. Amy also enjoys working closely with Anthology’s internal teams to keep creative development and media planning in line with the marketing strategies of her clients.

She is a graduate of Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, and spent two years following her graduation as an English teacher based in Osaka, Japan.

Associate Vice President – Broadcast Production

Stephanie brings extensive career knowledge in television and broadcasting to her work as broadcast production manager in Anthology’s Advertising Group. Based in the group’s broadcast department, she is responsible for overseeing the development of broadcast projects from fruition to completion.

Stephanie’s career experience includes work as a Los Angeles-based client services representative for NBC, where she served alongside a team of top creatives tasked with producing some of the broadcast TV network’s most popular series, including The Office, Parenthood and Law and Order. She also served as broadcast coordinator for the NBC series Grimm prior to moving to Oahu.

Stephanie’s career in Hawaii has included work as a news producer for ABC-TV affiliate KITV and an account executive at iHeartMedia Honolulu. She initially joined Anthology as a broadcast coordinator in its Advertising Group.

Stephanie is a graduate of the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Chapman University in Orange, California, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in television and broadcast journalism.

Senior Account Supervisor – Public Relations

Robert brings a wealth of knowledge in community and business outreach to Anthology, as well as extensive technical communications experience through his career work on large-scale transportation and construction-related projects.

Since joining Anthology in 2017, Robert has served as the public involvement manager for the Airport Guideway and Stations segment of the Honolulu Rail Transit Project. Prior to that, he served as a senior communications specialist and public involvement manager for Kiewit Corporation.

Robert actively serves on the Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii’s Alliance Board of young professionals and the marketing committee for Hawaii Literacy. He is also the Ethics Committee Chair for the Public Relations Society of America Hawaii Chapter.

Robert is a graduate of California State University, Chico, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in multicultural and gender studies.

Mei Jeanne brings a unique blend of public relations, marketing, issue advocacy and event-planning experience to her work at Anthology. Her career includes extensive work experience in the entertainment industry, where she learned the importance of using every appropriate communications tool at her disposal to further client objectives – a skill she still employs at Anthology. Mei Jeanne also possesses keen insights for communicating effectively with multiple constituencies within Hawaii’s multicultural community. She has played a pivotal role in the creation of award-winning branding and communications programs at Anthology for organizations spanning a range of industries, including public service, state and city government, entertainment, retail, and travel and tourism.

Her volunteer work includes memberships on multiple charitable and nonprofit boards, including Malama Hawaii, Bishop Museum Advisory Council, Coalition for a Drug-Free Hawaii and Kumu Kahua Theatre.

Adrian brings to Anthology’s Advertising Group career experience crafting award-winning words and work for clients ranging from multinational corporations to mom-and-pop businesses while always embracing the challenge of creating and sustaining an authentic brand voice. His circuitous professional journey – from Tokyo, Japan, to Seattle, Washington, to Cincinnati, Ohio, to Hawaii – helped develop his perspective on the challenges and joys of working in advertising. Adrian has received local, national and international recognition for his work at Anthology.

John brings more than a quarter century of communications experience to public affairs clients in Anthology’s Public Relations Group. Known for developing creative approaches to problem solving, John’s focus is providing strategic counsel to government and business community leaders.

His areas of expertise include planning for public involvement and public information programs; developing messaging disseminated through written, digital and broadcast channels; and creating and executing events and activities related to government relations. His work in these activities includes media relations, legislative relations and communications delivering successful outcomes in environmental reviews and permitting processes.

Yeon brings career experience in a variety of advertising categories – in particular, retail, travel and tourism, health care and nonprofit – to her work as a media supervisor in Anthology’s Advertising Group, her integrity and passion produces the best possible results for her clients.

Yeon understands the importance of developing partnerships between clients, agency and the media in order to advance successful outcomes. She is adept at managing and stretching client budgets in the most cost-effective and efficient ways, with diligence apparent in everything she does.

Born in Seoul, South Korea, Yeon moved to Hawaiʻi in 1985. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.
