Human Resources Manager

HONOLULU

Anthology Marketing Group, Hawaii’s largest communications and marketing company, is looking for experienced Human Resources professional with strong organizational, management and communications skills for its 150-employee agency. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for effective management of the company’s human resources needs.

This full time regular position, reporting to the CEO

  • Oversees implementation of policies, procedures, and HR programs
  • Ensures adherence to employment related laws
  • Completes human resources functions in a timely and accurate fashion, including but not limited to recruiting, hiring and terminating staff employees, benefit administration, employee relations, record-keeping, and other administrative duties
  • Manages orientation and on-boarding process for new employees
  • Monitors and reviews job performance appraisals in support of managers in all departments
  • Communicates with employees about compensation and benefits
  • Counsels and advises executives and management in HR issues and ensure any disciplinary actions are implemented fairly, consistently and in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Maintains the employee handbook with updated resolutions and other pertinent information, as needed
  • Works with the Executive Committee and managers to determine staffing needs and identify job position requirements
  • Promotes company team building and a positive work environment
We are seeking a candidate that has
  • In-depth knowledge of Federal and Hawaii State Employment Laws
  • Knowledge, understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures and ability to represent the company effectively in a variety of settings
  • Excellent written and oral communication with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with fellow employees, management, customers, etc.
  • Ability to multi-task and to keep a calm, professional composure at all times
  • Demonstrates ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, prompt and effective decision-making, and exercise of sound and ethical judgement
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times
  • Ability to exercise time management and prioritize workload
The candidate needs:

Minimum:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Five years progressively responsible experience in a human resources capacity
  • Supervisory experience
  • Possess high degree of professionalism and communicative ability.

Preferred:

  • PHR or SPHR
  • Experience with ADP HRIS systems or related HRIS system
