Print Production Manager
Honolulu
The Print Production Manager is responsible for the planning, execution and project management of the process of all print production.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct accountability and management of team to facilitate production of marketing materials and printed product
- Performs all planning, production and execution of complex master schedules for advertising and collateral.
- Ensures the team is accountable for meeting critical production schedules.
- Provides leadership and project management to the team.
- Manages printers to ensure high quality, cost effective and timely production.
- Develops team’s knowledge of cost analysis, campaign setup and assurance towards quality expectations.
- Works with vendors to ensure continuous improvement and optimal production solutions for new and existing marketing materials and concepts.
- Develops specifications for new components with vendors, negotiates effective pricing structures
- Processes and tracks mock-ups, prototypes, electronic templates and printer proofs with vendors.
- Communicates supply chain issues to account teams and coordinates solution implementation.
- Works with finance on budgeting, forecasting and actual product cost analysis compared to proposed.
- Conducts vendor and technology investigations
- Works with team and vendors to develop packaging, fulfillment and postal solutions along with costing analysis.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of print production process of 4 color publications.
- Knowledge of papers/printing processes and techniques.
- Possess good leadership, people and project management skills.

- Stay current with design and advertising trends and techniques.
Job Requirements:
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Five (5) year’s experience in a marketing and/or agency or publishing, printer, project management or supply chain management environment.
- High School diploma or equivalent and eight (8) years experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree and five year’s experience.
- Possession of a portfolio demonstrating ability in different media.
