The Challenge
Bikeshare is an innovative transit system that allows people to make short trips using a network of publicly accessible bicycles. Bikeshare needed to gauge public interest and identify barriers that might exist for implementing the program on Oahu. Anthology’s Research Group surveyed Waikiki visitors and residents and downtown Honolulu residents and workers using iPads, which allowed for a video of the Bikeshare concept to be viewed.
The findings demonstrated strong support for the Bikeshare concept and helped the organization move ahead in developing public/private partnerships.
